English School: Online and "Brick and Mortar" Total Price: $1100 USD ($1500 with Database/Payments)
I made this website for an English school that is getting into the online English lessons industry.
There are a substantial number of students of the English language around the globe who are perfectly willing to have their lesson "online" via Skype, Wechat video, or the many implementations of WebRTC technology (WebRTC, essentially, allows video conferencing through a web browser). Matching up local native English-speaking teachers (or others) with overseas students who want to practice their oral English is a growing business. While the experience may not be as useful as an in-person lesson, it can cut costs for those who are dying for a taste of local "linguistic flavor". And who knows: it'd be easier to prove you're truly an American or British native speaker if you could take a video selfie in front of the Statue of Liberty or Big Ben in London.
This website included Paypal payments integration. The client can view who's made payment, when, and for how much. You may or may not be aware: Paypal now accepts Union pay debit and credit cards. This opens up substantial opportunities. The client has six (6) payment price levels and separate payment pages in both English and Chinese (it's not only Chinese who'll pay to learn online!). You can view the Chinese and English versions of the payment pages here: Chinese payments page - English payments page. Most Chinese (and in the case of minors, their parents) have Chinese UnionPay bank cards.
This site also allows the owner/manager upload documents (in this case that means lesson plans, couse books and videos) onto the website as well as categorize them and delete them as appropriate. There is also a secured login/logout system whereby users can access certain parts of the site that the public can't see/access. The owner of the site can also create and delete users as he/she pleases. The users then in turn can gain access to the "backend" of the site. The result is a centralized location for students to download papers, lessons and other documents they'll need for their various lessons/tasks/homework etc.. Time is saved when one doesn't have to continually email this or that file/document to students/parents or other teachers.
The price above included Chinese translation costs.
It's unwise to build a website for Chinese customers that is not fully mobile-optimized. This site is totally mobile-friendly and I encourage you to pull up a browser on your Android or iPhone and have a look.
This site also came with two (2) years of China direct-line ISP hosting in Hong Kong. The server I use is located in the Shatin district of Hong Kong (Read more about this here.)
This site included:
Paypal Payments Integration
Backend Database of Teaching Documents
Login System and Private Area for Students of the School
